Kason 3 Months

Kason is growing so fast I can not believe it. He has been smiling and cooing and trying to talk for a few weeks now. He has also started to roll over to his side too. He is so much fun and is such a happy baby. Other than he spits up so much I do not know how he keeps anything down. We love him so much and we are so glad that he is part of our family.

The day after the 4th of July some of my family went to Vernal to visit with my grandparents and my brother that live there. We always have so much fun playing on the farm. The kids got to feed the cows, ride on the magic carpet, play in the sprinklers, and in a old horse troff that my grandpa let the kids use as a swimming pool. The kids loved filling it up and playing in it. My Grandpa also took the kids on a ride on his tractor that has a bucket the kids can ride on. He lifts them up high and they loved it. It brings back memories of when he use to have me and my siblings ride in it and pick apricots from the trees.

Decorating the bikes for the bike parade

These pictures are out of order. We were able to have my Dad and my Sister and her kids here for the 4th this year. I hope they had a lot of fun. My mom went to visit her parents in Vernal this weekend so she was not with us. We started off the 4th of July morning at the ward breakfast. Which Derek got asked to help cook the pancakes. Then they had a program and a bike parade for the kids in the Church parking lot. This year Derek and I decorated the girls bikes because they were with my dad up in Ogden visiting his parents. Then the ward had a obstacle course for the kids to go through at the park behind the Church. They had a blast. Then we went to Emmie and Jason house that evening and had a bbq and they had water stuff for the kids to do while we were eating. Then Jason and Emmie had some awesome fireworks they let off and then we went and watched the big fireworks at the park in pleasant grove with them. This is the first year we have stayed to watch the big fireworks and Ellie and Kason fell asleep during them. It is so nice to be able to have family around for the holiday and to get together with family too. I am so thankful for the land that we live in and for the freedom that we do get to enjoy.

The Cake

This year every time I asked Hailee what kind of cake she wanted she told me a Monkey cake. So thanks to my sisters help I was able to make a monkey cake. Hailee loved it to. She kept eating the icing off of it. For her presents she received a Lego blocks, barrel of monkeys, bat and ball, and a little pink stool.
